Neyman Seminar

Probability Seminar

Wednesday, 3-4PM in 334 Evans

Two seminars regularly take place in the Department, and each year we also have two joint seminars with Stanford and a joint seminar with Davis.

The Neyman seminar is the statistics seminar in the Department. Historically, it has been focused on applications of Statistics to other fields. Nowadays, it has a very broad scope, with topics ranging from applications of statistics to theory.

The probability seminar is a weekly seminar co-sponsored by Statistics and Mathematics departments featuring the latest research in pure and applied probability, including probabilistic work from related disciplines including computer science and operations research.

The Neyman and Probability seminars have dedicated Berkeley Events pages which list their upcoming seminars for the current semester. A departmental calendar also displays all upcoming events across both seminars combined.

Mailing list

Anyone can sign up to the department's seminars@stat.berkeley.edu mailing list to receive related announcements. Those who are not members of list cannot post, however you can contact the list managers if you would like to have something relayed to it.
